The Mahanavami Dibba in Hampi is a grand stone platform that served as a royal stage during the Vijayanagara Empire. Built by King Krishnadevaraya in the 16th century to commemorate his victory over the Gajapati rulers of Odisha, this monument reflects the empire's magnificence and architectural prowess.

Standing about 12 meters high, the Mahanavami Dibba was used as a ceremonial platform during the Dasara (Navaratri) festival. From here, the king and his court would oversee grand processions, performances, and military parades.

The platform is adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes of royal life, hunting expeditions, and festive celebrations. The steps leading up to the Dibba showcase detailed reliefs of animals, soldiers, and dancers, offering a glimpse into the cultural and artistic excellence of the Vijayanagara era.
