Russian BTM-3 Trench Digging Machine

The Russian Army is deploying BTM-3s, fast-moving trench digging machines capable of digging ditches and trenches in soils ranging from sandy to frozen earth in preparation for the coming winter season.

This is the first time such engineering machinery has appeared on video footage from the conflict zone. The use of these large numbers of engineering vehicles is necessary for the efficient and effective construction of defensive lines in a fraction of the time.
