November 7th "Toxic Masculinity" // Aaron Pennington

As we continue with our series "Lines," there is something we can't ignore that has been an incredible source of pain and frustration in our culture. The idea of manhood or masculinity leaves a bitter taste in so many people's mouths because of how this concept has been used to abuse and hurt people, so much so that the very thought of this concept is considered negative. Masculinity has so many negative connotations surrounding it but let's be clear that there are very defined lines between masculinity and toxic masculinity.

Toxic masculinity has become such a strong narrative in our society, not because of a political agenda or a feminist motive, but simply because it's true. That needs to be recognized. And that's not what God had in mind.
