**This playlist is inspired by my own tastes/discoveries and previously crafted compilations, such as the Transmission (81-89 The French Cold Wave) album released by Infrastition. Many coldwave mixes seem to miss the important minimal-electronic and synth side of the genre. I find that this was crucial to the evolution of coldwave as the minimalist, synth-filled post-punk subgenre it would later become after being adopted into the goth subculture.
