The channel “Ginger Farming in Pakistan” has been created for step-by-step practical guidance of growers who are interested in Ginger cultivation in hot areas like Punjab, Pakistan.
Ginger loves tropical wet climate and thrives well in humid conditions with temperature 15 to 32 C, pH 5.7 to 6.5, Relative Humidity more than 70% and Rainfall 1500 to 3000 mm so making this crop difficult to grow in dry arid and semi-arid climates. After the years of research on Ginger Vegetable Research Institutes, AARI, Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan has successfully developed an “Innovative Production Technology to Cultivate Ginger in Dry Areas”. Vegetable Research Institute, Faisalabad has also the credit of developing first ever Ginger variety of Pakistan namely “AARI Ginger 2023”.
This channel is created to disseminate the updated technology efficiently in the form of videos on “Free Ginger Cultivation Courses”. We have completed a course “Ginger Cultivation Course 2022” last year and currently “Ginger Cultivation Course 2023” is in progress. You can find the links of above course’s playlists in the end of this description.
All the information on this Channel is based on research being conducted by Ginger Team at Vegetable Research Institute (VRI) under the umbrella of Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI), Jhang Road, Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan.
