Meet Miguel Tamayo, a flight controls engineer in the Guidance and Analysis Department at Aerospace. His day-to-day includes checking on tools his team is creating, running flight simulations, analyzing the data, and performing improvements to the team's current tools. He also runs post-flight reports and pre-preparation for flights to ensure that all the systems are working together correctly to ensure peak vehicle performance.

Miguel is also an intern success story for Aerospace. He was a recipient of the Dr. Wanda Austin STEM Scholarship, and it was through his internship at Aerospace that he realized he wanted to shift his education focus from computer science to computer engineering and study controls and robotics. And this all led him to the job he has today.

"Working at Aerospace, it's amazing. It's a super nice environment full of hardworking people. We all work together toward the same goal; we all support each other."

The work being done at Aerospace is truly incredible. The only thing more incredible are the people who make it happen.
