5. Sit with good posture and hand positioning


Don't
1. Practice brainlessly (e.g. continually playing through pieces beginning to end)
2. Avoid trickier sections in pieces (spend more time here, not less)
3. Overpedal
4. Play pieces above your level
5. Compare yourself to other pianists
