What To Know About the Mechanical Royalty Rate Increase

U.S. Copyright legislation has had a lot of movement over the past few years including the Music Modernization Act, the creation of The MLC, and the continued battle for increased mechanical royalty rates. Most recently, in a decisive win for songwriters and publishers, an increase in mechanical royalty streaming rates, from 15.1 to 15.35%, is coming between 2023-2027.
