Since this past June 2021, there have been 2 active construction zones right outside the block facing our apartment building. They work 6 days a week, 6am to 6pm and the beeping trucks and machinery needed for construction causes my health issues of Electro Sensitivity and Multiple Chemical Syndrome to really worsen. It’s so bad I’ve called the Project Managers of each project, Councilmember of my District and their representatives, OSHA local and headquarters, and our State Senator, but nobody has helped me find a habitable solution for me to possibly relocate during the construction process. The completion date is December of 2022, so I feel it’s unfair to subject tenants to this. Neither project put any relocation dollars in their multi million dollar projects for housing!? Habitability Hillary is horrified by this and now severely sleep deprived. Even I studied in my Interior Design Bachelor’s Degree studies I learned about allocating relocation dollars, why don’t they know this? Habitability hmmmmm!!? I hope we can find better solutions since there are 7 active construction zones in this area since DOT told me. (Dept of Transportation had to help me with stolen signs from construction zones messing up street parking!) A beepin’ mess! Take care, let’s help each other reduce sound pollution! We can do better! How about build a soundproof wall like they do with the Metro construction to reduce noise and help the community survive the issues? Just a Habitability thought!
