Our balcony room at the Hotel Bernerhof turned out to be an ideal location to observe some unexpected entertainment provided by a very enthusiastic tour group at Bebbis Restaurant (on the ground floor of the hotel). While we were staying there, some guy who was connected to Bebbis would play an alphorn in the traffic circle between the hotel and Interlaken West. Depending on the crowd on any given night, things can get a little out of hand. On this night, members of the tour group felt uninhibited enough to take the alphorn away from the guy and try playing it themselves.
