I am so excited to share this short but epic edit with you guys!
I really wanted to work on a project for the character of Cihan, as he's really had quite a journey of self development. If you've been following me since my White Collar editing days, you know I really enjoy working on projects that delve into the inner war of good vs evil, fighting between habit and history, to the deeper calling of "you are better than that..."
I love the angst, turmoil, and thaw of those storylines. I say thaw, because when done properly, you're really seeing the full range of what it looks like to acknowledge how far you've fallen, and the pain that comes with regaining long-lost feeling, listening to your conscience, choosing something different.
I really hoped to make this project longer, but the song I wanted to use changed sound so drastically halfway through that I said, "we're gonna have to make this short and punchy" haha. That was a challenge, but I really love how it all turned out. I loved how the first several scenes of the project were more obscure, artistic, and mysterious to draw you into Cihan's character...Anyway, I'll stop with that. I hope you guys like it too!
