Why is Islam the true religion, and why is the Qur’an the Book of God?
1- The Qur’an was revealed without any revision or editing.
For example, an author writes a book, reviews it, revises it, and may even find spelling or scientific mistakes years later, prompting new editions. In contrast, the Qur’an was revealed all at once, without revision. New verses were occasionally revealed—not to delete or correct earlier ones—but to replace certain rulings. For instance, fasting during Ramadan initially began as a choice and later became an obligation from God. This shows not an error in God’s words, but a gradual legal development suited to people’s readiness.
2- The Qur’an has been preserved from distortion.
If you ask any Muslim how many versions of the Qur’an exist, they will tell you: only one. On the other hand, there are hundreds, even thousands, of differing versions of the Bible and the Torah, many of which contradict each other.
3- The Qur’an completes the previous divine religions.
It did not come with a new message, but reaffirmed what was originally revealed in the Torah and the Gospel before they were altered. It also recounts many stories of the Children of Israel as evidence against them on the Day of Judgment—proof that this book is from the same God of Moses and Jesus, peace be upon them.
4- The Prophet Muhammad was illiterate.
He could neither read nor write. So how could an illiterate man have authored such a profound and eloquent book?
5- The Qur’an is a linguistic miracle in classical Arabic.
It was revealed with unmatched eloquence and challenged all of humanity—humans and jinn alike, including scholars of language and rhetoric—to produce anything like it, or even a single chapter. To this day, that challenge remains unmet. Is there still room for doubt?
6- The Qur’an was not dictated by devils.
The clear proof is that the Qur’an calls for monotheism, belief in God alone, and explicitly warns against following Satan.
7- The Qur’an addresses the mystery of creation and the identity of God.
It explains why we were created. Its message is to preserve life, develop the earth, and avoid corruption and destruction.
8- The Prophet Muhammad was known before Islam as "the truthful and trustworthy."
This shows that he was not a corrupt man in the time of ignorance (Jahiliyyah), only to suddenly claim prophethood without credibility.
9- The Prophet Muhammad married Aisha when she was 21 years old, not 9.
Claims that he consummated the marriage with her at a young age are based on controversial narrations, especially in Sahih al-Bukhari, which scholars of Islamic law have pointed out contain inconsistencies and misunderstandings.
10. What does the Qur’an call for if you read it?
It calls for the worship of the Creator of the universe. It contains nothing that contradicts reason or natural human instincts. Its message is a warning to the disbeliever and a mercy to the believer.
11. Check the prophecies of the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). For example, the Prophet said, 'judgment day will not come until Mecca mountains are penetrated.' This means that the mountains of Mecca will be tunneled through, and it is a miracle that Mecca in modern era has the most tunnels drilled in mountains for cars/transportation purpose. If it were not divine revelation, he might have said, 'What if I say this and it doesn't happen? People will not believe me then.' This is evidence that Allah showed him something of the future to warn and confirm his truthfulness to later generations. Then, when he said that the barefooted, naked people will compete in building tall structures, he meant the people of the Arabian Peninsula. Who has the highest buildings other than gulf countries? How precise! If it weren’t a revelation, he wouldn’t have said this, as science may not have advanced at that time, and his prophethood might not have been confirmed.
I bear witness there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness Mohamad is his messenger.
