Proin is used to treat urinary incontinence in pets with poor urethral sphincter muscle tone. This one is close to my heart because my own dog went blind and lost both of her eyes after just one dose of this medication skyrocketed her blood pressure.

Proin is labeled to be used with caution in dogs with heart disease, liver disease, kidney insufficiency, diabetes, glaucoma, and conditions with associated hypertension.

Absolutely monitor blood pressure if your dog is on this drug! Over a 6 month study, 1/3 of the dogs developed hypertension.
