How to Install Garmin Zumo XT on a BMW GS (factory wiring)

How to install a Garmin Zumo XT on your BMW GS using the factory wiring plug. The BMW Navigator (nav) - even the nav V and nav VI - are out of date and prone to issues. The Zumo XT is the best motorcycle GPS ever, and allows off road routing. Here's how to install it in place of the factory GPS. No wire splices here.

Repair plug to connect gps wires into factory gps plug: (should work on most BMW's but check your parts diagrams):
