Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on December 4 for a two-day state visit. This is Putin's first trip to India in four years, to attend the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit. The visit coincides with 25 years of the nations' strategic partnership. Key discussions will span defence cooperation, including the S-400, possible S-500 collaboration and the Su-57 fighter jet as well as nuclear energy, space, technology and industrial projects. Trade imbalance will be a major focus, with Russia signalling readiness to boost imports of Indian goods. Putin will receive a ceremonial welcome, meet President Droupadi Murmu, visit Raj Ghat, and attend a state banquet as both sides push to deepen long-standing ties.
