People think our house must be calm now that all four daughters have flown the nest.

They imagine quiet mornings gentle afternoons and peaceful evenings.

Instead we have one rottweiler devoted to her squeaky toy like it is the sacred dog deity of chaos.

The chicken dance is softly playing and she is loudly worshipping her chosen rubber idol. Like it’s the god of all dogs!!

So yes the nest is empty but the silence is very much not.!!!
