Harinie Jeevitha | Ānanda - Hues of Happiness | 12 days of Milap | Bharatanatyam |

‘Ānanda - Hues of Happiness’ is an exploration of the rather transient and fleeting state of mind–happiness–in its different shades and hues through three compositions in the medium of Bharathanatyam.

NRITTA KELI, an Alarippu based on games, invokes the child in us that is inevitably pumped up with excitement and happiness while indulging in games.

MUDDUGARE YASHODA is a Keerthanam of Saint Annamacharya which is a display of love and adoration to child Krishna who is the Supreme Lord reclining on the serpent bed. His valorous feats bestowed Aananda to the worlds; being with and cajoling the butter-thief gave Aananda to the Gopis; realising that the child is verily the Supreme is Aananda; and experiencing Him who is the personification of Aananda is Aananda too!

SUDDHA NRITTAM is a dialogue between the Mridangam and the dancer’s anklets. As Bharata Muni says in Natya Sastra, Nritta evokes and spreads boundless joy. Inspired by Sri Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer’s conception of Suddha Nrittam, this piece revels in the happiness of sounds and silences.
