In this video, I'm building a cozy shelter under a fallen tree using classic bushcraft survival techniques and only natural forest materials. The uprooted base makes a ready-made wall and wind protection, and across it I put a sturdy ridge pole / log, forming the main frame. Then I stack branches, bark, and fallen leaves to add thickness and insulation, and form an entrance and roof line to protect from the wind and keep the heat inside.

I pay special attention to stability, coverage and heat preservation. This is a great example of quickly creating a shelter in case of unforeseen circumstances, as well as a peaceful bushcraft-style building for anyone who loves hiking in the woods and mastering wildlife skills.
