MELBOURNE CORPORATION DOCTRINE: The Australian Federal System after the Engineers Case | AUSSIE LAW

The Melbourne Corporation Doctrine was a two-limbs doctrine established by the High Court of Australia in the case called Melbourne Corporation v Commonwealth (1947). It imposes two prohibitions on the Commonwealth in an attempt to remedy some of the effects of the Engineers Case of 1920.
