Any time I throw finesse baits like this I like to use a 4000 sized reel. This allows for longer casts. Also, any time you have a very small hook, it helps to have a really big drag with a very large drag washer. A 4000 is a much better choice than 2500 or 3000. I always choose ‪@daiwabass‬ spinning reels; lately I've been loving the Certate LT 4000.

I always like to use a super long spinning rod. It has to be at least 7'6" long. This rod is actually a 7'9 Light.
