After retiring, Fred became a Professor of Practices at Texas A&M University where he has taught high high-performance drilling classes. The majority of his time is now spent helping operators to move their organizations toward those same physics-based, limiter-redesign practices. He will discuss the most recent successful application of these workflows in FORGE geothermal drilling operations. Fred is a recipient of the SPE International Drilling Engineering Award. He’s a Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and an inductee in the American Association of Drilling Engineers Hall of Fame.
