"WikiFundi is software that provides an offline editing environment that mimics the Wikipedia online environment. It allows for teaching, outreach, and content creation when technology fails, access does not exist, is too expensive, or electricity is unreliable. WikiFundi is a wiki platform that bridges the digital divide and teaches information literacy and writing skills.

In 2021, WikiFundi received the Open Infrastructure Award offered by Open Education Global. I felt so honoured and humbled to see our tool recognized by OE Global. I sincerely thank you. It is very important to me that this tool is recognized. Well, first at the personal level, because it's really pleasant, but also because it gives visibility, and I hope the impact will be an increase of adoption in the future."
