Held in Santa Margherita Ligure, a charming Italian seaside resort with ice cream coloured buildings and vibrant sea front, Karen and Christian’s wedding embodied everything a stylish Italian Riviera wedding should be: Elegant, chic with a generous scoop of la dolce vita!

Having found their dream destination wedding location, Karen and Christian were keen to weave their seaside setting throughout their celebration. We were happy to oblige, arranging everything from hand illustrated sea-themed invitations to sourcing the best sea-view accommodation.

The ceremony took place at the Chiesa di San Giacomo di Corte, a beautiful Baroque church with ornate architecture and chandelier lighting.
Slightly off the beaten track, the church was a just a stone’s throw away from the couple’s reception venue, the stunning Villa Durazzo, a grand 17th century seafront villa.

After a romantic couple shoot in the Villa’s luscious Italian garden – and a celebratory glass of champagne - the couple headed to their reception. The villa’s spectacular sunlit terrace provided the picture-perfect setting.
The wedding party sat on white Chiavari chairs at large round tables adorned with luxurious dusty light blue linen, peach and white floral arrangements and crystal glassware.

With guests satiated from their wedding meal – a medley of mouth-watering authentic Italian dishes – a night of joyous (and we mean joyous!) dancing got underway.
The DJ played songs which had every generation on their feet, from the littlest bridesmaids to older wedding guests. Shoes kicked off, and champagne glasses re-filled, the wedding party closed with a magical outdoor firework display.
