A Typical Tuesday with Professor Joe Salvatore | NYU Steinhardt Professor Day-in-the-Life

Описание к видео A Typical Tuesday with Professor Joe Salvatore | NYU Steinhardt Professor Day-in-the-Life

There usually isn’t an opportunity to experience a day-in-the-life of an NYU Steinhardt faculty member. Joe Salvatore, associate professor of educational theatre, breaks that cycle and gives us an inside look into his busy Tuesday schedule. We follow him around the Washington Square Park area as he teaches two courses, Theatre as an Art Form and The Ethnoactor and Verbatim Performance; has two meetings to discuss a research project with a fellow NYU faculty member and square away production needs for The Kavanaugh Files before NYU’s Constitution Day; and finalizes costumes for the performance. He shares the history of The Verbatim Performance Lab, how it was established, and its mission to create gender-flipped performances to build understanding by disrupting the biases that influence our political, social, and cultural decisions. Tune in to this vlog to learn about Joe Salvatore as a professor and a professional. To watch his most recent work, click the link below for the live taping of The Kavanaugh Files.
