Punta Allen Mexico. It's totally worth it!

In this video I show you our trip to the biosphere of Sian Ka'an, Mexico. Our AirBnB was close to a town called Punta Allen which is located at the very end of the island. Beforehand we tried to find out how the road conditions are and we found a lot of "you definitely need to have a 4x4 car, otherwise forget about it" recommendations. Nevertheless, we wanted to go there and just drove in our VW Vento rental with definitely no 4x4. And what shall we say: The road was in a really good condition and without any problems we reached our destination. The town Punta Allen itself is pretty small and very quiet. When we were there literally everything was closed except 2 restaurants and a (pretty expensive) hotel. We had an amazing dinner at the sea the first night, the second night we found a tiny restaurant (it´s basically a porch of a family´s house) where they prepared homemade local food for us and it was beyond delicious and super cheap! We booked a boat tour which included snorkeling directly at our AirBNB and we definitely recommend this! We saw Sea turtles and Dolphins, unfortunately no Manatees!

We can only recommend this place, it´s great to disconnect and relax. And don´t forget to stargaze! It was insane!
Be aware that this is a beautiful nature reserve and make sure you don´t litter! We saw so much plastic on the shore line, it was beyond sad to see this. So PLEASE make sure you leave only your footprints!
