Ive been messing about with the tr 1000 and exploring alternative ways to use some of the internal synth engines.

The FM engine grabbed my attention as something worth experimenting with. After feeding chat gpt the manual, it still cant quite tell me how this FM Model works. however It turns out to be a good way to shape a scale, the FM engine’s fixed notes keep everything grounded, yet there’s still enough randomness to keep it alive.

So i created a scale with this fm model, i'm pretty sure this one is F Suspended Pentatonic , thought i might be wrong.
Suspended scales avoid a major or minor third, they keep the harmony open and neutral. Good for clashing notes.

I then Run it through the Strymon Blue Sky Plugin. I’d mainly wanted to try the plugin out, but it pushed me to record the session properly and layer in textures from Omnisphere 3 and Arturia Augmented Strings.

I am curious on how well the plugin compares to the real pedal.

It's also worth noting that none of this is sync'd up, the pads are just free running.

The other thing the tr 1000 has that i quite liked messing with was the polyrhythms , Tracks 1-4 are running at diffrent lengths.

The Stutter fx on the 1000 is also quite fun to play with , though it's easy to go overboard with that,: possibly the case here, whatever , i clicked record and made a short video.
