if you have a passion for sample-based beatmaking, plus a decent smartphone or a tablet, radiooooo and koala sampler are two apps that you should get A$AP.

radiooooo.com is basically a musical time machine that allows you to pick a decade and country, and voilà! you get a pretty endless stream of songs from that time and place.

koala sampler is basically all you ever wanted from and sp404, but in form of a mobile app that you can use wherever you go.

koala has an "import video" function that allows you to upload your screen grabs as audio, and that is just the coolest thing ever. you can sample EVERYTHING at ALL TIMES.

so in this video, I grab a few gems from radiooooo.com and make a (pretty awful) beat with them on koala sampler.
