iPhone pro max in India costs ~Rs. 1.3L;
In US, it costs ~Rs 81,000;
And in Canada, it costs ~Rs. 90,000

The difference lies somewhere in the taxation system of India - which are set to increase.

Meanwhile, in some countries, there are 0% taxes.
