Taco Comfort Solutions Hot-Link Plus-e Pump Package and LeakBreaker Package at KBIS / IBS 2022

Darron Desroches from Taco Comfort Solutions explains the Hot-Link Plus-e package, and the LeakBreaker package.

The LeakBreaker has a 3/4", full port valve going into the tank that will automatically shut off based on a sensor. When it senses water, the valve shuts off and an alarm sounds. It's a great product that can be used in a lot of applications. Up to 10 sensors can be added in series to protect more than a water heater through a singular wi-fi connection. So the homeowner will know if they have a leak, and will know that the valve is closed and their home is protected.

The 006e3 is an ECM product that does up to 500 feet of pipe in residential applications. It has adjustable speed and comes with the SmartPlug. The SmartPlug learns the patterns of the home's water usage to optimize when the recirculation pump turns on and off based on hot water usage.
On the other end of the system, the Hot-Link valve under the sink connects the cold and hot water lines. The valve contains a stainless steel plate which opens and closes based on temperature. The water recirculation pump is located on the hot water line exiting the hot water tank. Hot water is pumped up through the piping to the underside of the sink where it reaches the Hot-Link valve. When the valve is open and the pump is running, cold water that had been sitting in the hot water line runs back through the cold water line, back to the water heater, so it doesn't go down the drain. This system saves about 12,000 gallons of water per year and is one of the best selling products from Taco Comfort Solutions.
