The Innovation Speaker Series introduces students and the public to scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs who are changing the world through science and innovation. The Computer Science series consists of brief talks followed by a careers panel discussion to provide students with the opportunity to ask questions about our speaker's personal journey in their careers. This series is organized by Science Rendezvous: University of Toronto as part of our first ever hackathon (SRHacks).

(1) Dr. Michael Reber is a Senior Scientist at Krembil Research Institute. His work focuses on understanding the development of the visual system in healthy and disease conditions. He is also developing virtual reality applications to serve as therapeutic tools for patients with visual deficits.

(2) Dr. Frances Skinner is a senior scientist at the Krembil Research Institute and Professor at University of Toronto. Her work in computational neuroscience seeks to determine how the brain functions by studying the mechanisms of neuronal networks of healthy and diseased brains.
