How To Play Summer Nights By Van Halen - Awesome Van Halen Intro Does This Feel Like Summer Or What?

In this video I demonstrate how to play Summer Nights by Van Halen. We focus on the intro of the song, and I break down how to play it and make it sound like the record without using the Steinberger Trans Trem. It requires some tricky barre chord technique, but it's not too bad once you get the gist of it. I also show the cool intro licks and pick slides along with tips on how to play it finger style the way Eddie did it on the 5150 tour and record. This is a great song from the 5150 album, and every time I hear it, no matter what season, it makes me feel like summer and it always reminds me of all the good times. I consider it to be one of Eddie Van Halen's best intros he every composed. It's beauty is in it's simplicity and the way it makes you feel.
