Fishing with ham - catfish will eat anything even leftover Christmas ham!

Disclaimer: I apologize in advance for the camera I didn't take my tripod down with me.

Took a break from work and headed to my moms for a week after Christmas. We burned some brush, fished, and played around. Want another idea for using up those leftovers from Thanksgiving and Christmas... well we kept forgetting to go into town and get some bait for catfish so we had some ham from Thanksgiving or Christmas that she had taken out of the freezer to make ham salad so we thought we would give it a try. As long as you kept a fresh piece on the pole they would bite but have to change it often. For the bass I said jitterbug but they are actually Gene Larew Hoodaddy's and work like a champ.

My gear:
I use the Audio Technica AT2020 XLR because I wanted to be able to record music occasionally. If you do not need that then you could just go straight for the USB version and wouldn’t need the phantom power or extra cables. The external recorder is a must when using a cell phone and will help with audio sync when editing.
