Unusually Tall Black Oak Gets Cut For Woodmizer LT15 Sawmill

I am cutting an unusually tall California black oak tree into logs to put on my Woodmizer LT15 sawmill. This will be the first time I will be making lumber from black oak. California black oak is only native to Oregon and California. Black oak is one of the red oaks. I am using a Stihl MS 462 chainsaw and the tractor is a Massey Fergusson MF30 MF34 with Farmi winch. Around half the length of the tree gets cut into saw logs, the rest gets cut into firewood.
