Robot setup for characterizing coated glasses

Описание к видео Robot setup for characterizing coated glasses

🔧 We have developed a robotic measurement setup in one of our customer projects.

🔬 This setup handles up to 30 coated glass wafers from a cassette. Each test glass wafer is transferred to a measuring station where the transmission spectra of the thin film is measured at several positions as shown in the video.

🤖 The robot's freedom of movement solves two problems at the same time: Testing multiple wafers and measuring at multiple positions - all in an area no larger than 1 m².

🚀 So far, the measurement positions have been changed manually, but this process was simply too slow to achieve the new target throughput. With our robotic setup, we've clearly increased the overall efficiency and reliability of the setup.
