Mr. Peanutbutter's Relationships: The Need to Fit In

While I do think Mr. Peanutbutter loved all of his wives while they were together, there is something to be said about the pattern of his choices in women...and also the fact that he never seems to spend any time alone.

I think that we can all agree that Mr. Peanutbutter likes to be liked. But, honestly, I think his internal need to people-please goes a bit farther than just "wanting people to have fun". He NEEDS to have people around him who agree, listen, and validate him. Which is why sticking to prevailing social standards is probably an easy solution.

And if those relationships aren't going well, he sinks into depression. His happiness is based almost entirely on how other people are doing and who he's currently dating. NOT HEALTHY- but extremely realistic, as many people in the real world deal with sociotropic tendencies. Plus, he was able to grow past it! Such a good boy.
