Atlatis should be selected as weed killer in rice zone or clayey soils 40 days after sowing and Buctril super (Bayer) @ 300 ml plus Axial (Syngenta) @ 330 ml/acre in loam soils of central to south Pun jab 55 days after sowing. Precautionary spray of Nativo Bayer @ 65 gram/acre for rust must be applied twice during 1st and last week of February. Last irrigation must be applied in accordance with the weather forecast so that lodging may be avoided.
