Parwal curry which is very popular in odisha as potala rasa is a delicious recipe. It can serve with rice as well as roti. In this video you can see my way to prepare it. It is well explained so that any one can easily understand.

Ingredients:

Oil - 4tbsp
Sugar - 1/4tsp
Whole Spices
Onion Paste(1 onion)
Tomato Paste(1 tomato)
Ginger n Garlic Paste(2tbsp)
Turmeric - 1/2tsp
Red Chilly Powder - 1/2tsp
Cumin - 1tsp
Garam Masala Powder -1tsp
Poppy Seed Paste - 3tbsp
Corrinder Leaves(chopped)


Preparation Method:

Put the pan on flame.
Add oil 4tsp on pan and let it get hot.
Fry the pointed gourd pieces till it became brown and soft.
Put another pan on the flame.
Add sugar and let it to melt.
Add whole spices.
Add onion paste, ginger n garlic paste, tomato paste and mix all together.
Add red chilly powder, freshly grounded cumin powder and garam masala powder.
Fry till moister get evaporated.
Add fried pointed gourd, mix with the masala.
Add 1cup of water.
Cover the lid for 5 min on midium flame.
Check out after 5 min.
Add chopped corrinder leaves.
Now serve parwal curry with rice or roti.
