Mike Zimmerman the CEO of BuildingIQ speaks to CTTV's Green Business Reporter, Giles Parkinson.

Zimmerman explains that BuildingIQ is a software company that deploys technology to optimise energy use in commercial buildings. He explains that " at the end of the day we are trying to reduce energy consumption and cost for building owners and building managers."

In the interview Zimmerman details Australia's sophistication as a global market economy in terms of building energy management. He explains that Australia is the first place to deploy the company's product. The results in Australia will then be utilised to promote and produce BuildingIQ's product in the U.S.

Zimmerman ends by detailing how the company is bringing its "software service business model" to the property industry.

He concludes that "if you don't have capital, or the resources to help proactively manage energy, it is absolutely ideal" for property and business owners.
