Core Elements, Lecture Three: In-between-ness, Neither-ness, Love, Intimacy, Death

In the previous lecture, we explored the foundation for a "revival" or "revision" of phenomenology. The focus for that revival or revision is Heidegger's Being and Time. Heidegger's Dasein, the being-that-is-there, is "defined" by the experience of standing open and standing in the light of Being. Much of what we explore here begins with that experience.
In-between-ness is the experience rooted in that being there - Fromm describes this as the experience of being a part of and apart from the physical world. This is the starting point for the experience of Neither-ness - that is the human experience of being neither earth nor sky, neither a part of nor apart from.
We will argue that love intensifies the experience of In-between-ness and Neither-ness.
