Donegal Danny

"Donegal Danny" is a song about a giant of a man who enters a bar seeking shelter from the cold and damp wintry weather. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a rugged and weathered traveler, wearing an oilskin coat and carrying a bundle that reveals his tramp-like status. It recounts a fateful night at sea with five of his friends and he became a sole survivor after their vessel succumbs to the raging elements.

The Pub Runners version is an audio track recorded live on Beaver Island in northern Lake Michigan in September, 2024. The video clips are all from the Donegal region of northern Ireland.
