Multilanguage functionality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC AL : How to use translation files.

In this video, you will learn how to configure your extension to work with translation files. To complete this task, you need to activate the TranslationFile feature in the Features setting in the app.json file.

The TranslationFile feature will automatically generate a translation file with all captions, tooltips, labels, and so on, that are defined in your objects.

Whenever you run a build command, it will generate a .g.xlf file. Make sure that you rename the file; otherwise, it will overwrite your modifications. You need to create one translation file for each language.

These translation files are packaged together with your objects in an .app file that you can use to install your extension in a production environment.

You can also use the Multilingual App Toolkit together with the Azure Translator Text service to automatically translate your files into any language. However, do note that this service is not always free.
