Breathe

The first of three animations (Breathe, Seed, Be) made 2014 / 2015.
The animations followed a series of large drawings made 2013 / 2014.
Breathe was made on one sheet of Fabriano paper. All drawings were destroyed in the process: drawings were adjusted hundreds of times and photographed to create motion. One image / scene transformed into the next. The piano melody came to me as I drew. The first 40 seconds of this piece were erratic until the image of the woman breathing appeared.

These animations led to me to begin monotype printmaking in 2016.
