With the trading month of August coming to a close on Monday, we take a quick tour through some monthly charts. Most monthly charts remain bullish especially with the breakaway in value that we saw from July to August. Its important to note that putting on new longs, even though the charts look bullish could be setting you up for poor trade location. The charts certainly LOOK over extended, however we have all seen how this movie plays out.

In this episode we also have adjusted charts due to the Apple stock split and Tesla stock split. From a psychological perspective, new investors should be more excited about affordable shares in Apple and Tesla and be looking to buy. Institutional investors who have been in the trade for some time now, should be offloading their shares post stock split to anyone willing to buy at these extreme valuations. Overall the outlook for AAPL and TSLA after they split should be: pullback, then advance again.
