There are only two WWII Avro Lancaster bombers still flying in the world. One is in England and the other is here in Canada and, luckily, just a short drive from our home.

The Canadian Lancaster is based at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope, beside the John C Munro Hamilton International Airport.

Last year we saw the Lancaster fly in Goderich, Ontario. On August 30, 2025, we made a spontaneous drive to the museum to watch it fly again.
