MATCHBOX Restoration K3B Hatra Tractor Shovel 1965

Once again a challenging makeover. I was looking forward to doing this one, thinking that the transformation from old to new would be stunning! Unbeknownst to me, this make over would be one of the most difficult that I have done.

I knew I would have to create some missing parts but never dreamed that putting the model back together would be so time consuming, and would necessitate a second paint job!

It is the worst moment possible when you have to make the decision and undo all you have done to basically start from scratch again. It happens from time to time and it is not very pleasant.

As they say "If it was a walk in the park, then everyone would be doing it" - But it's not. The fact that it takes time and effort to get results are why the rewards of elation and satisfaction, when the project is finished, make it all worth while!
