1947 Amritsar | Re-lived Indian Punjab here! Flavours, Festival & Phulkari -Amritsar Heritage

After touring Chandigarh & Anandpur Sahib in Punjab, I reached the city of Golden Temple - AMRITSAR, which also happens to be a border district in Indian Punjab, close to the Indo-Pak Border.

I started my day by exploring the walled city of Amritsar (also known as Ramdaspur or Ambarsar). The old city of Amritsar tour is incomplete without the Punjabi flavors of Kulchey, Lassi, and Punjabi Thali, and the list just never exhausts. So that's how I explored Amritsar on Day 1.

While also touring the city, I happened to discover shops that were more than 100 years old. Most owner's ancestors migrated from Punjab post-partition and settled in India.

Places like Jallianwala Bagh, and Golden Temple had to be covered as well. And this time I got lucky because I got to witness Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Prakash Utsav.
