Nova Soon — Antarctica [Official Video]

'Antarctica' is the first single from the forthcoming EP 'Goodbyetown' by Nova Soon (aka Noah de Grunwald).

The music video was filmed by Charlie Humphreys, with assistance (and, later, editing) from Jacob Simmons, in November 2023, in the same seaside house where Noah's father Nick died. It was just a couple of days before Noah and his mother finally moved out, and the nearly-empty rooms, often featuring only boxes of packed-away mementos, lent the shoot an eerie serenity. The story, conceived and scripted by Noah, centres on attempts to ignore and outrun grief. That grief is embodied by an iconic painting of Nick’s, which follows Noah through his days and across the house, even watching him sleep.
