HTC's 5G Hub is a 5G mobile smart center that combines a 5G access point for up to 20 users.

HTC has created a 5G mobile smart center that combines a 5G access point, an Android center and a battery in a single device. HTC's 5G Hub is primarily a 5G access point that will allow up to 20 users to connect to its 5G connectivity, and has an internal battery so you can use it anywhere. HTC is really pushing this as more than just an access point. Its 5-inch 720 x 1280 screen with Android also makes it a mobile smart center, which looks more like a Google Home Hub or an Echo Show. While running Android 9.0 Pie, you can stream TV shows and movies from applications such as Netflix, or simply use the USB-C connector on your device to connect it to an HDMI port on a TV.

HTC's 5G Hub does not rest on a desk, and it's about twice the weight of the 0.7-pound smartphone. Much of that weight is due to the 7,660 mAh inside. It will feed the 5G connectivity inside, but it will also allow you to connect phones through USB-C to use it as a battery pack. The biggest concern with the first 5G devices will be the battery life, and HTC still does not provide solid estimates. HTC uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage within the 5G Hub.
