Today Charlotte shares her first DIY video, the creation of an art masterpiece - its a String Art Challenge

As a 6 year old she has done a great job creating this beautiful piece

If you would like to try this it is easy
you will need

1. a blank canvas we used a 12" x 16" (30.5 x 40.6cm)
2. a piece of string or will not to tightly wound - approx 24" (60cm)
3. white acrylic paint mixed with water to make it more fluid (approx 3 parts paint to 2 parts water) to total 200ml
4. colored acrylic paint of your choice (we used turquoise) approx 40ml mixed 3 parts paint to 1 part water.
5. 2 plastic cups for the paint
6. 4 small plastic cups turned upside down to rest the canvas off the table for drying purposes
7. one small Popsicle stick

Then simply pour the white paint onto the canvas and tilt to make sure the entire canvas is covered.
then place all the sting carefully into the colored paint (leaving just the last inch in your fingers white)

As you lift the string back out run it across the Popsicle stick to pull excess paint off. Pull the string 100% out of the cup and starting at the top of the piece gently place the covered end near the top of the canvas forming a circular shape, then lay the string in a curved criss cross pattern all the way to 1/4 from the bottom

lay the last part of the string down the center of the canvas to the bottom. Let it rest for a few second.

Then pick up the very end of the string at the bottom and gently very slowly pull the string toward you making sure to keep the string pulling off the canvas through one central point.... now just let it dry (this will take some hours due to the amount of paint)...its that easy... give it a go ... #stringartchallenge
