Before and after every game release, people will push any agenda to ensure that in their eyes a game was a success or a failure, regardless of the actual truth. This has recently happened with Doom the Dark Ages, Oblivion Remastered, Dragon Age: Veilguard, and mostly Assassin's Creed Shadows. If a game, a studio, or a studio's decision is not liked or greatly liked by someone in the media, they will make sure to be as disingenuous as possible when it comes to covering that specific game, whether to make it look like either a failure or a success while disregarding reality.
